Cottagers reserve winger Eddie Lewis has received a call-up into the USA squad to face Italy in a friendly on February 13.
Lewis, who has not featured for the first team all season, appeared four times as a left-sided midfielder for the US in the recent CONCACAF Gold Cup, from which the Americans emerged victorious.
The Californian, who moved to Craven Cottage in February 2000 for a fee of £1million, has been capped 33 times by the US.
He will link up with a US team, which includes Blackburn's Brad Friedel, Tottenham's Kasey Keller and Sunderland's Claudio Reyna on Sunday before their game in Catania, Sicily.
