Walsall boss Colin Lee could not hide his anger as the Saddlers went out of the Cup.
With Barry Hayles netting the winner as Walsall were down to ten men, Lee was fuming at the length of time it took to treat right back Darren Wrack.
"Darren was off for 10 minutes and 25 seconds. For that to happen in a game like this is hard to swallow.
"They scored 25 seconds before he came back on the pitch. Sometimes I suppose those type of things happen. I didn't want to take Darren off because he was playing so well. We never really had a natural right back on the bench anyway.
"I felt we held them long enough but to take that long to stitch up a few stitches in his ankle is something I need to look into." Lee said.
Nonetheless, Lee was less disappointed with his side's on field performance.
"We took a while to get into the game but the pleasing thing was we had a right good go in the second half after giving away a poor goal. Byfield was unfortunate not to score near the end. Any normal size keeper would have let that in. But their keeper is extra tall and made a good save."
