Touts beware

Fulham are stepping up their war with ticket touts as demand to see the final few matches at Craven Cottage gets stronger.

Fulham have been working hard with local police to stamp out the practice of tickets being sold at inflated prices - and have warned touts they are already on their case.

A huge operation was launched at the home game against Manchester United earlier this year, when Fulham paid for extra police outside the ground and five touts were arrested.

Now a similar operation could be on the cards to protect fans in the final few matches of the season.

Fulham's deputy managing director Lee Hoos said: "No other club has ever sponsored an anti-touting operation like this and we hope it sends a message to any touts out there not to bother coming to Fulham.

"It was only a one-game operation but we got five of them and we'll be doing it again at regular intervals in the near future."
