ENGLAND SKIPPER BECKHAM MAKES CALL TO SUPPORT ENGLAND'S WOMEN

England skipper David Beckham, is calling all football fans to support the England women's senior football team as they take on Portugal in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at Portsmouth FC's Fratton Park on Sunday 24 February 2002, kick off 5.30pm.

Beckham is hoping that the attendance record for a women's international of 7,102 is smashed and fans will turn-out from all over the south coast to cheer England to victory.

David Beckham said: "I would like to wish Katie Chapman and all the girls the very best in their World Cup Qualifying match against Portugal. A win at Fratton Park would be great for the Women's England team and great for Women's football. I hope the fans will turn out in force to support this crucial qualifying match."
