Barking Ladies started out as part of Hornchurch FC in 1989. Hornchurch FC was then taken over in 1993 to become Collier Row FC. In 1997, Barking took over the ladies team from Collier Row. Barking Ladies run two senior teams and 6 junior teams at under 11, under 13 and under 15 levels. Barking Ladies started out in Division 5 in the Greater London League, joining the FA Premier League Southern Division 3 seasons ago when they merged with Leyton Orient teams. Barking has just recently signed 25 year old central defender Jenny Canty from Arsenal.

Fulham Ladies started up in 1993 and entered the Greater London League in Division 5. In 1999/2000 Fulham won the Greater London Premier League and were promoted to the South East Combination League. The same year the team won the Greater London League Cup, the Middlesex Cup (the only team outside of the National League to do so) and reached the quarter-final of the Women's FA Cup. In 2000/01 Fulham Ladies turned professional and won the London County Cup, beating Arsenal 3 - 0. They also won the South East Combination League gaining promotion to the Southern Premier League. The season culminated in Fulham reaching the AXA FA Cup Final, eventually losing to Arsenal 0 - 1.

Fulham Ladies are the only Professional team in Europe.
