Fulham Ladies 22 v 0 Barking, Sunday 24th February 2002

On Sunday Fulham Ladies faced Barking in the league at The London School of Economics Sports Ground. Despite five players being called up to the England squad Fulham still managed to field a strong side.

Fulham Ladies dominated the game from start to finish having endless goal scoring opportunities with some excellent individual performances.

1-0 (7 mins) Kristy Moore - An excellent pass from Deena Rahman leaving Kristy Moore one on one with the Keeper, dribbled the ball round the Keeper into an open net.

2-0 (9 mins) Moore - Again a good pass from Deena Rahman opening up the defence Kristy Moore took the opportunity to strike the ball into the net from 15 yards out.

3-0 (13 mins) Marianne Pettersen - A well taken corner from Margunn Haugenes was headed in by Pettersen at the near post.

4-0 (20 min) Pettersen - Pettersen played a one-two with Haugenes leaving her one on one with the Keeper who saved the shot but didn't manage to hold it and Pettersen managed to slot the rebound in.

5-0 (30 min) Haugenes - A hard shot from Sanchia Duncan hit the post and rebounded straight to Haugenes who slotted in.

6-0 (37 min) Pettersen - A cross from Rahman to Pettersen who headed in from six yards.

7-0 (39 min) Haugenes - Pettersen dribbled the ball to the line, cut back to Haugenes who placed it in the left corner.

8-0 (41 min) Moore - A perfect build up from the back and was finished with a flick from Pettersen to Moore.

9-0 (43 min) Moore - Massive pressure on the Barking defence who didn't manage to clear the ball properly landed straight at Moore who scored from 10 yards.

10-0 (44 min) Haugenes - Again pressure on the Barking defence after a free-kick which wasn't cleared, Haugenes dribbled round a defender and shot from 6 yards.

11-0 (45 min) Duncan - Haugenes dribbled the ball to the line, cut back to Duncan who placed it in the right corner.

12-0 (48 min) Duncan - A hard cross from Pettersen to Duncan who flicked in from a yard out.

13-0 (54 min) Duncan - A long run and a good cross from Rahman was hammered into the goal by Duncan.

14-0 (58 min) Rahman - A ball in to Rahman who shot perfectly from 18 yards into the right hand corner.

15-0 (68 min) Haugenes - A great strike in the top left hand corner from 20 yards out.

16-0 (70 min) Pettersen - Pettersen headed in from a Kristy Moore cross.

17-0 (72 min) Duncan - A shot from Rahman was pushed away by the Keeper straight to Duncan who slotted the ball in from 3 yards.

18-0 (80 min) Pettersen - A good run from Pettersen with the ball at her feet shot into the far corner from 15 yards out.

19-0 (83 min) Haugenes - Good passing play from Fulham was finished by a hard shot from Haugenes.

20-0 (85 min) Kim Jerray-Silver - A rebound after a corner was volleyed in by Jerray-Silver from the 18 yard line.

21-0 (88 min) Ann Marie Collins - Collins, from the Reserve squad used her 15 minutes well and placed the ball between the Goalkeeper and the near post.

22-0 (90 min) Jerray-Silver - Caught the ball from 20 yards and struck into the net.

Manager Gaute Haugenes was pleased with the way the team played and said " I am pleased when scoring so many early goals we continue to play our style of football and the girls are always chasing the next goal. They do not become complacent and I think that shows their professional attitude".
