Boa should be fine

Fulham Physio Jason Palmer has said that he hopes the injury sustained to Luis Boa Morte at the Stadium of Light on Saturday won't be keeping the striker out of action for to long.

Talking exclusively with Fulham Today after the match Palmer said:

"As a result of the questions I asked Luis when I went on to the pitch we decided to bring him off.

"He felt there was a possibility that it was a bad injury and he could not play on.

"He was in a lot of pain but thankfully, his specially moulded shinpads took a lot of the impact.

"Injury wise he has some ligament damage, as well as bruising to the soft tissue and the bone in the area. He may or may not need a scan. I will be re-assessing him again tomorrow (Sunday) but hopefully it will settle down quickly with some early treatment and rest."
