Fulham are set to face a rejuvenated York team in the FA Cup on Saturday, following the return of several players to their first team squad.
York were held to a goalless draw by Rochdale on Tuesday, mainly thanks to the form of visiting keeper Matthew Gilks. However, one positive aspect of the game for Terry Dolan's side was that they saw several players make comebacks from illness or injury.
Peter Duffield made his third appearance as a substitute after twice breaking a leg, and the striker showed he is getting back to full fitness when he came close to scoring with a last-minute header that was brilliantly saved by Gilks.
Keeper Alan Fettis, who has been struggling with a neck injury, and defenders Matt Hocking (stomach bug) and Gary Hobson (facial injury) all came through the match unscathed.
