Not Wright

Tuesday 29 January 2002

Ipswich Town's Jermaine Wright is doubtful for Wednesday's match with Fulham, after the midfielder missed training on Monday with a groin injury.

On Sunday night George Burley reported no fresh injuries to his squad, but on Monday Wright complained of a problem and sat out the training session.

Burley described the former Crewe man as "a little bit doubtful" for the match with Jean Tigana's side at Portman Road.

Hamstring victim Jim Magilton also missed training and will not be ready to face The Cottagers, neither will Tommy Miller (back) and Thomas Gaardsoe (ankle).

Better news for the Town boss came via improvements in fitness levels to Mark Venus and Chris Makin, who were rested for Sunday's match against Man City. Both trained Monday and reported no problems.
