After their disappointing exit in the group stage of the World Cup Finals, France's hunt for a new national team coach has resulted in many managers being linked with the post.
The President of the French Football Federation, Claude Simonet is expected to make an announcement regarding Roger Lemerre's successor by 5th July.
However, he has already ruled out approaches for Arsene Wenger, Didier Deschamps and Jean Tigana - stating:
"When I hear people talk about Tigana, Wenger or Deschamps it makes me laugh. They are all under contract at big clubs and the renunciation of their contracts could cost us very dear."
With the French press strongly linking a number of domestic managers to the position, there appears to be little desire on the part of the FFF to tempt a foreign-based coach to the job.
