With a close-season of rehabilitation work behind him, Chris Coleman has now started training normally with the rest of the squad as he prepares for his first team return.
Coleman's return to full training caused many to believe that the Welsh international could figure in Saturday's Intertoto Cup match against FC Haka.
But speaking after Saturday's draw at the Cottage, assistant manager Christian Damiano explained the situation with Coleman's progress.
"Chris Coleman has been training with the squad for two weeks," said Damiano. "He needs to play more games with the reserve team.
"He finished his recovery programme two weeks ago and trained on Saturday morning with the reserve team."
It is perhaps easier to split the final phase of Coleman's recovery in to two stages. At first Coleman began training with the reserve team, playing reserve matches, whilst also receiving special one-on-one rehabilitation.
Now that his rehabilitation has ended, Coleman can now fully focus on his training with the first team and reserves.
