Strikers Elvis Hammond and Luke Cornwall have both signed new one-year contracts with the club, which will keep them at Fulham until the end of the 2002/03 season.
Despite missing a large part of last season through injury, once back to full fitness Hammond performed well for Steve Kean's reserves - leading many to believe a call to the first team squad would not be far away.
Speaking to Fulham Today, Hammond explained his expectations for the forthcoming season.
"It's good to have signed for the extra year, hopefully I can progress further than I did last year. So I'm very grateful for that chance.
"I thought I did well last season but my main problem was that I was out for about two months with an injury. If I stay fit and focused, hopefully I'll be able to push a little bit further this time.
"I'd like to play up front if I get into the first team. Don't get me wrong, if I have to play on the wing I'd be happy to. But I'm confident enough to think I can play up front, that's what I've got to aim for."
