After having been given the non-enviable task of keeping Robert Pires out of the game at Highbury. Saturday's match against Liverpool sees Steve Finnan pitting his wits against Liverpool's John Arne Riise.
The Norwegian wide man will be making his first appearance at Craven Cottage since signing for the Reds. And despite Riise passing up the opportunity to play for the Whites, Finnan doesn't doubt the quality of his opponent.
"It's been a very good signing for Liverpool, there's no doubt about that. If there was a chance of him coming here it would have been nice because he's a very good player. It would have been good to see him in a Fulham shirt, but he turned us down."
Nonetheless, having kept tabs on the likes of Giggs, Robert and Pires this season. Finnan will no doubt be looking to make Riise's appearance at the Cottage as anonymous as possible.
