Buck up or lose

Gary Megson has warned his West Brom side to liven up or expect a 10-0 FA Cup thrashing from Fulham on Sunday.

The Baggies boss descirbed his teams efforts as "aweful" after Daniel Dichio's eighth goal of the season 13 minutes from time earned them an undeserved 1-1 draw against Watford.

Megson insisted that their first quarter-final appearance for two decades will be a humiliating experience unless there are massive improvements from his team at the weekend.

Megson told John Simpson of the Official WBA website:

"We'll get beat by double figures if we play anything like that on Sunday. It was an instantly forgettable game of football and the only positives are we didn't pick up any knocks or lose.

"It's about as poor as we've played all season. You have to be thankful for small mercies - we were absolutely awful and got a point.

"We started okay but there was no zest or enthusiasm. The tempo of our play was much lower than usual. Nobody played anywhere near as well as they can do."
