Jean Tigana had admitted that he will not only be looking to strengthen his front line but will also be on the lookout for players in other positions.

With Fulham having failed to capitalise on their chances in recent games, the immediate focus from supporters has been directed towards the attacking line. Despite Louis Saha and Steve Marlet's increasing strike rate over recent games, Tigana hinted that his front line and squad as a whole, is far from complete.

"I don't just need a forward, I need many players because I have a small squad. It is certainly a problem because when we play against the big clubs there is still a big difference." said Tigana.

Having made some valuable additions to last season's Championship winning squad, Tigana has always been weary of changing too much too soon. There is no doubt that a settled core of players is essential for any side and Tigana is hoping to combine that with fresh blood.

Four consecutive defeats to Middlesbrough, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have not drastically affected the White's league position. However, qualification for European football has been made all the harder. Despite a place in Europe still being a possibility, an upturn in recent from will be required to move further up the table.

Whilst there's no doubt that the current side is capable of upsetting any team in the Premiership, Tigana stressed the need for improvement.

"This year we learn, next year we must improve."
