The England under 17 team won their second match of the European Championships on Monday to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
Fulham's young academy star Sean Doherty was on the bench as England beat the Netherlands 2-0 to seal their passage into the quarter finals.
This is the first European Championship to be played at this age group and is being hosted by Denmark - sixteen teams are taking part, divided into four groups. England will play hosts Denmark in the final match of the group stage, and will come against Spain, the Czech Republic, Moldova or Yugoslavia in the next round.
Sean has been a part of the England set-up since he first represented them at under fifteen level, and to be selected for these Championships is an enormous honour for both him and Fulham Football Club. He is part of an eighteen- man squad, and after scoring the winning goal against Finland last Saturday he will be hopeful of playing a part in the later stages of the tournament.
The Final will be played on Friday 10th May at the Farum stadium.
