Player of the Season

Fulham supporters now have the opportunity to vote for their Ladies Player of the Season.

To make you opinion count simply cast your vote in the "Your Shout" section. Voting will close at 5pm on Tuesday 7th May. The contenders are:

Marianne Pettersen - Fulham's Captain and top scorer. Pettersen has netted 54 times in the league and 86 times in all competitions. Her direct style and pace have led many call her the female equivalent of Thierry Henry. She has scored 38 times more than here nearest teammate.

Margunn Haugenes - Plays in the centre of midfield. A hard working midfielder who specialises in joining attacks late. Playing in this role has seen her score 48 times in all competitions.

Kristy Moore - Fulham's right-winger. Kristy has scored 46 times this season, which is a good record for her position. Not only has she made a significant impact in the scoring charts but her crosses have also created many scoring opportunities.

Sanchia Duncan - Another very quick player who has scored 30 goals this season. Although she has not been tied down to one particular position, her overall quality means she has been able to play in a variety of roles this season. However she has usually been used in wide areas.

Katie Chapman - A full England international who is a very strong player for her build and an intelligent passer of the ball. This season she has shown herself to be a tenacious competitor both in the air and on the ground. Playing in the holding role just in front of the defence she has done a sterling job of protecting the back four. She has scored 24 goals in all competitions this season.

Rachel Yankey - Another England international, she plays on the left wing in a very similar position to Kristy Moore. She has demonstrated her excellent technique this season on many occasions.

The winner of which will receive a ticket to the Craven Cottage Gala Dinner, which will be held at the Novotel in Hammersmith on Sunday 12th May 2002. On top of this, the winner will also present the Ladies Player of the Season with her award.
