Stronger squad says Ed

Goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar has said that Fulham have to strengthen the squad if the Whites are going to have a more successful campaign next season.

"I don't know what the manager's plans are this summer but I think we have to strengthen the squad.

"We have played some good football but we didn't get the points we deserve and we have to be better next year.

"I hope that we learn from the experience and win more matches next season instead of drawing them, but we may need new players to help," said Van der Sar.

With only one match left in the Premiership season, Intertoto qualification will rest on Fulham's result at Blackburn and Everton's result at Arsenal.

Van der Sar's call will be given further strength should Fulham qualify for the UEFA Cup, as Jean Tigana has already acknowledged that the current squad does not have enough strength in depth to sustain as season which includes European competition.
