Fulham's Assistant Boss Christian Damiano was "dessus la lune" (That's over the moon to you and I) after watching his side's famous victory over Spurs on Wednesday evening.

Still buzzing after a second half of champagne football at Loftus Road the magical French tactician spoke exclusively with Fulham Today on Thursday and gave his reaction to a wonderful comeback.

"It was perhaps the biggest performance from the last year, said Damiano. "Perhaps since our promotion to the Premier League.

"Spurs are a big team up at the top of the League and that is no accident. They are a big, strong and powerful side.

He continued:

"Our comeback wasn't an accident last night. We have a fantastic spirit here. We showed this against Sochaux, we did it again against Bologna and then against Middlesbrough. In the last six games we needed, and got, four fantastic reactions from our players.

"This is a fantastic side because we have such a big spirit. A good dressing room and a good attitude. This is vital."

However, Damiano warned that The Whites must still improve in certain areas if they are to build on their early season success adding:

"Against Tottenham we showed that we are very able. We are a fit team and we are good on the ball. We had ten chances to score in the second half and we took three.

"But for the future set pieces are going to be very import for us. We conceded against West Brom and Tottenham this way. We need more focus and power from them and you can lose a game with just one kick.

"We know that in England every game is like a Cup game. We now have to be ready for Sunderland now."

Christian also believes his side are now benefiting from last years experiences in the top flight, adding:

"One big thing is different between this and last year and that is the players have a year in the top division behind them.

"We also have midfield players scoring goals now. We have strikers working well and we have more quality and confidence."

Damiano also wanted to pay tribute to the Club's supporters who helped raise the team's spirits on Wednesday night, just when it was needed most:

"The atmosphere was fantastic for everybody. For the fans, the players, for everyone that works at the Club. Together we showed we have the capacity to change the face of a game."

So what now for Fulham? A tough trip to Sunderland lies ahead for Damiano, Tigana and their travelling Black and White army on Saturday. No predictions from Christian, but he confidently predicts:

"I believe we have the capacity to stay in this Championship."
