The Club would like to sincerely apologise to all supporters for the not insubstantial number of away supporters in the home areas at last night's game.
We are certain that many of our supporters must feel as though they have experienced this issue more times than they care to remember, and we appreciate that we must rapidly re-establish the high levels of successful segregation seen at Craven Cottage.
Last night's problems were numerous, but were mainly caused by away fans obtaining home tickets through established means - something that we need to tighten up on.
Once identified as away fans, many ejections from the ground did occur (albeit not as many as our supporters would have liked), and through greater liaison between QPR's stewards and FFC's many representatives throughout the ground going forward we hope to further speed-up the process of identification, recording of seat and row number, observation and possible ejection - this we can get better without question.
Through the already planned liaison between FFC, QPR and the Police we hope that our supporters see great improvements in reducing the number of away supporters in home areas in coming games. We really would ask you for your co-operation and understanding, and also your continued assistance in the identification of away fans to the stewards present. Thank you.
Andrew Finch, Director of Operations, Fulham Football Club.
