Sean Doherty has been promoted to the England under-19 side for the forthcoming friendly fixture against Hungary in Budapest.
The promotion rounds off an excellent week for the highly rated Academy player, as Steve Kean told Fulham Today.
"Last week Sean Doherty played in a reserve friendly against QPR which was his first start for the reserves," said Kean. "He got lots of possession and we counted 14 crosses coming from him during the match.
"That's his main attribute, he's very good at crossing the ball so we'll continue to work with him and make each one of those crosses as accurate as possible."
"Technically speaking he's an England under-18 player, but he's been pulled up to the under-19 squad which is great news for Sean."
