Fulham Football Club can today confirm that the transfer of Sean Davis to Everton is now officially off after the midfielder was unable to complete a medical successfully. Davis, who handed in a transfer request three weeks ago, had been granted permission to speak to Everton after their third bid was accepted by Fulham.
Speaking at Fulham's Motspur Park Training Ground this morning, Fulham Manager Chris Coleman said, "The deal is off and Sean's back here with us and he will be working hard to recover from his knee injury. The bottom line is that he's a Fulham player still. It's now down to Sean to start showing some form if and when he's selected, and if he does that we'll welcome his contribution."
The Fulham medical team are confident that Sean will be fully fit involved in full training in three to four weeks time.
It is widely known that Fulham have been trying to sign Sunderland midfielder Claudio Reyna as a replacement for Sean, and at this stage the Club is still pursuing its interest in the American captain.
