For the second year running Brian McBride has been named Fulham’s Player of the Season.
The American striker finished the 06/07 campaign as Fulham’s top scorer and led the line with his trademark determination and courage.
McBride beat competition from Carlos Bocanegra (3rd) and Antti Niemi (2nd) to win the accolade.
Speaking to fulhamfc.com, McBride was pleased to have won the award. “I’m honoured that the fans saw fit to give me the award,” he said. “I finished top scorer but none of those goals would have been possible without the help of the guys around me. We had a tough season but the spirit of the team came through and saw us to safety.”
