Fulham App Update

Monday 10 December 2012 11:32

An update to Fulham Football Club iPhone and Android apps is now available for free. It includes a number of additional features to enhance our fans’ experiences when using our apps wherever they are in the world.

Explore:

Fulham Explore is a location based service found within both iPhone and Android versions of the Official Fulham Football Club App. Powered by Foursquare, fans, both new and old, can discover places of interest in SW6, on away days, or around the world, which have been recommended by FFC. Fans will be able to find pubs, bars, restaurants or stadiums in predefined lists of places which the Club have put together with our supporters in mind.

In these lists, fans can discover matchday pubs to go to around Craven Cottage, or see which away pubs are recommended at the other 19 Barclays Premier League stadiums so you can meet up with other FFC supporters on away days.

Fans will even have the opportunity to recommend other places to go to on home or away matchdays by emailing explore@fulhamfc.com, these places will then be reviewed and added by the Club over the course of the season.

What’s more, fans will enjoy much of the same functionality they get with Foursquare, just through the FFC app; this includes the ability to check in to stadiums, pubs and other places on your travels as long as you sync your FFC app with your Foursquare account. So now you can take advantage of pre-match Foursquare specials, get directions, or read our ‘tips’ at each of the places found in our lists.

So what can you do with Explore on the Fulham FC app?

  • Fans can find pubs and other places/locations close to Premier League stadiums - particularly Craven Cottage.
  • Fans can find locations close to their current location (ordered by proximity).
  • Fans can check in with Foursquare at these locations to unlock badges and specials.
  • Fans can read the 'tip' provided by the Club for each place that is in Explore.
  • Fans can view the places within their phone’s map software, get directions, visit the bar or team’s website and/or twitter pages (if they have it listed).
  • Fans will also be able to see how many people are at a location already so you know where the most fans are located.

Finally, the Club will give away prizes all season long to fans who check in, at home or away, using Explore. This will include signed shirts, memberships, merchandise and other unique giveaways so make sure you check in when you are watching FFC, wherever you may be.
