Fulham Under-18s kick-off their FA Youth Cup campaign on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Middlesbrough to Motspur Park (12.30pm).
Steve Wigley’s charges have not been in competitive action since 24th November when they secured an impressive 2-1 victory away at Liverpool.
The Whites actually faced Saturday's opponents in a recent league outing which ended in a comprehensive 6-0 win in mid-November.
With top scorer Cauley Woodrow absent as he prepared to represent the Under-21 side, the role of danger man fell to Swedish forward Muamer Tankovic who duly obliged with a hat-trick. Young winger Pat Roberts grabbed a brace while Lyle Della Verde also found the net.
Wigley will be hoping for a similar performance at Motspur at the weekend, as Fulham aim to improve on last season’s Youth Cup exploits when they were defeated by Burnley at the Quarter-Final stage.
This match is available to the general public with tickets priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Please be aware that FA rules dictate that Season Ticket Holders must pay admission.
