Shirt Auction

Tuesday 20 November 2012 14:29

The Club is delighted to confirm that £7,216 was raised for The Royal British Legion from selling the shirts that the players wore for our game with Arsenal earlier in the season.

Each squad member’s shirt featured a poppy on the chest in honour of Remembrance Day and was signed by the relevant player.

Our two-goal hero from the match at the Emirates, Dimitar Berbatov, saw his shirt generate the greatest interest on eBay, with the winning bid coming in at £1,800.

Every penny of the money raised from the auction will go to The Royal British Legion.

The Club would like to thank everyone who bid on the shirts for this very worthy cause. If you weren’t successful though and need alternative ideas for Christmas, then check out our online store today!
