Fulham’s Under-21s return to action on Sunday (2pm) when they host Aston Villa at Motspur Park.

Fulham’s previous fixture took place on Thursday 11th April as Cauley Woodrow’s early strike secured a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Club’s Training Ground.

The result saw the Whites leapfrog Boro to move up to third in Group One of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League table – a place and three points behind Villa.

“It wasn’t our best performance,” said Under-21s Manager Kit Symons after the victory over Boro. “It was a bit of a scrappy encounter. We got an early goal and probably should have added to that.”

The Whites met Villa back in February at Hinckley United’s De Montford Park, securing a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Omri Altman and Woodrow.

Villa’s Under-21s, who drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Monday, could include the likes of Derrick Williams and Samir Curruthers in their starting XI. The pair have both tasted first-team football for Villa.
