U21s Slip To Defeat

Eyong Enoh played for an hour as Fulham’s Under-21s slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Everton at Motspur Park on Monday evening.

At a chilly Fulham Training Ground, Neil Etheridge, Chris David and Simon Davies were also named in Kit Symons’ starting XI.

But it was Everton who started the brighter and after Apostolos Vellios had headed an early chance wide, the Toffees went in front when Conor McAleny slotted home after some good build-up play in the 19th minute.

Enoh, a deadline day signing from Ajax, was replaced on the hour mark by Ronny Minkwitz, while the closest Fulham came to an equaliser was when David’s long-range free-kick cannoned back off the crossbar.

Symons’ side are next in action on Monday 25th February (7pm) when they travel to Aston Villa.

Fulham: Etheridge, Donnelly, Kavanagh, Enoh (Minkwitz 60), Passley, Grimmer, Williams (Tankovic 83), Smith, Woodrow (Altman 90), David, Davies. Subs (not used): Joronen, Arthurworrey.
