Trotta Extends Bees Stay

The Club can confirm that Marcello Trotta’s loan deal with Brentford has been extended to run until the end of the npower League One season.

Trotta initially joined the Bees towards the end of November but his good form for the side from Hounslow has seen boss Uwe Rosler move to keep the young striker at Griffin Park for the remainder of the campaign as they continue their promotion charge.

The Italian has made nine appearances for Brentford so far, scoring three goals and contributing a number of assists. His brace against Bradford City in December helped his side progress in the FA Cup with Budweiser – a competition in which they remain after drawing with Southend United in the Third Round last week.

Rosler has been pleased with Trotta’s contribution during his time at the club, stating: “He doesn’t need a lot of service from other players because he can make things happen as long as we get him in the right areas.

“I’m very pleased with his all-round game, his attitude and he is mixing in well with our squad. He is enjoying things very much and for his personal development it is important to play every three or four days in a game that really matters.”
