The Club was saddened to learn of the death of former player David Bewley, aged 92.
David spent eight years at Fulham after the Second World War and scored his only goal for the Club in a 3-0 victory over Luton Town in March 1948. He also captained the team in a friendly match that saw Johnny Haynes make his first appearance in a Fulham shirt.
He was a special guest at the Cottage in September 2009, ahead of his 89th birthday, to see the Whites beat Everton 2-1. David was presented to the fans at half-time alongside Tosh Chamberlain (pictured).
The thoughts of everyone at Fulham Football Club are with David’s family and friends.
