Fulham Under-19s made it two wins from two in the Dallas Cup as they defeated LA Galaxy 2-1 on Monday.
Goals from Lasse Vigen Christensen and Jordan Evans secured victory for the Whites on a cold and blustery afternoon, although the American outfit proved a worthy opponent.
Fulham started the game brightly and Vigen Christensen had already seen a decent opportunity saved when he put his side ahead on 14 minutes. Good build-up play from Cauley Woodrow led to the chance for the Denmark youth international who smashed the ball into the top corner with aplomb.
The Whites went into the break a goal to the good and the lead was soon doubled. Following a Galaxy corner, Fulham broke and Jack Grimmer found Evans who coolly slotted home for his second goal in two matches.
The Los Angeles team began to exert some more pressure as the hour mark passed and pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining from the penalty spot. They pushed for an equaliser but the Whites held firm to cement their place at the top of the group.
Fulham: Rodak; Passley, Arthurworrey, Grimmer, Kavanagh; Sambou, Vigen Christensen, Hyndman; Tankovic, Woodrow, Evans.
