Fulham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has joined Crewe Alexandra on loan until 1st January 2014, subject to FA, Premier League and Football League clearance.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper could make his debut for the struggling Sky Bet League One Railwaymen when they host Port Vale on Saturday (3pm). Crewe are currently 22nd in the table but just a point away from safety.
The loan move represents a fourth temporary stint away from SW6 for Etheridge following spells at Leatherhead, Charlton Athletic and Bristol Rovers.
Fulham Manager Martin Jol recently admitted he was keen to send the Philippines international out on loan in order to gain some valuable first-team experience.
"Neil is one of the keepers who I think should go on loan and get 50-75 games under his belt because he's talented," Jol said. "Etheridge hasn't got the experience yet. He's played one match for us. He has never played in the Premier League and I think goalkeepers are living by experience."
