Season Ticket Holders can cheer on Fulham’s Under-21s for free when the Whites take on Newcastle United at the Cottage on Friday night (7pm).
Kit Symons’ side are unbeaten so far this term, securing wins over Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Norwich City and Reading, and drawing with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal.
The spoils were shared against the Gunners last time out as Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Martinez, now on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, continually thwarted the Whites in the 0-0 draw. There were Fulham Under-21 debuts that evening for striker Moussa Dembele and centre-half Daniel O’Reilly.
Following the Arsenal game, the Under-21s flew to Asia for a short tour involving two games. The first, against an Indonesia All-Stars side, ended in a 2-0 defeat, but three days later Symons’ team secured a 7-0 success against Woodlands Wellington who play in the top flight of the Singapore S League. Both Dino Islamovic and Lyle Della Verde bagged a brace, with the other goals scored by Lasse Vigen Christensen, Ange-Freddy Plumain and defender Mananga Jonathan Buatu.
Newcastle’s Under-21 games have thus far proved something of a goal fest, with a 4-3 win at West Bromwich Albion two weeks ago and a reverse scoreline in an earlier fixture at Middlesbrough. Newcastle also conceded four in their opening game at Reading in a 4-2 defeat and a home clash with West Ham United ended 5-4 to the Magpies.
A number of young first-team squad members have appeared this season for the Toon, including Burundi-born England Under-20 midfielder Gaël Bigirimana and former Domzale striker Haris Vuckic who netted a double in the Albion victory. Young defenders Paul Dummett and James Tavernier, who have both made Premier League appearances, have also been selected.
The Riverside Stand will be open for this game and Season Ticket Holders can get in for for free by showing their Season Ticket card at the turnstiles. Non-Season Ticket Holders can purchase tickets upon arrival at Craven Cottage, with seats priced £3 Adults and £1 for Over-65s and Under-16s.
