Boa Signs Up

Former Fulham Captain Luis Boa Morte is the latest individual to sign up for Sunday's 10k Winter Warmer.

The Fun Run will take in a number of scenic views along the way, including Craven Cottage, Bishop's Park, Hammersmith and Putney Bridges, and the River Thames, and Boa is looking forward to running the course alongside as many of the Fulham Family as possible.

“I like doing things for charity,” he said. “This is for a good cause so I'm happy to do my bit. I enjoy exercising, although to be fair I've never done anything like this before.

“It's a new challenge, a big challenge, but I should be alright. It will be nice to do it with the Fulham fans, so we can go through it together.

“I'll do the 10k, but then I have to go and coach the kids straight after at the Academy, so it will be a demanding day for me. But I'm looking forward to it - it will be a good day and hopefully we can help make a difference by raising lots of money.”

At the beginning of the 2013/14 campaign, Fulham Football Club announced that, for the second year running, Shooting Star CHASE would be our Official Charity Partner for the season.

Sunday’s Fun Run is the first fundraising event for the season, with the monies raised going to both Shooting Star CHASE and the Fulham FC Foundation.

Whether you're a committed athlete, a social runner, or if you over-indulged at Christmas, this event caters for all abilities and features the latest chip-timing technology, a t-shirt and the all-important medal for successfully completing the run.

Entry to the charity run is £18 and we would like to encourage fans to get involved and sign up here to raise money for two very worthy causes.

Shooting Star CHASE is a children’s hospice charity that works with families of children and young people with life-limiting conditions. Their goal is to simply make every day count for families with a child or teenager that is unfortunately not expected to reach their 19th birthday.
