Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Shaun Hutchinson on a two-year deal, with an option of a further year, which will see the player at the Club until at least summer 2016.
The 23-year-old centre back made 40 appearances for Motherwell last season as the team finished second in the Scottish Premier League to champions Celtic.
Hutchinson started his youth career at Wallsend Boys Club before joining Motherwell in 2007. He made his first team debut against Hamilton Academicals in 2009 and went on to make over 140 appearances between 2009 and 2014.
“I’m absolutely delighted to complete my signing for Fulham this afternoon and I’m looking forward to starting pre-season training under Felix Magath with the rest of the squad later this month,” Shaun told the official website.
“Once I learned of Fulham’s interest, it was a no brainer for me and I couldn’t wait to get down and get signed.
“Obviously we all know the size of club that Fulham is and I couldn’t wait to come and have a look at it. The Training Ground is unbelievable and I can’t wait to get going.
“There’s no hiding the fact that going from the SPL to the Championship is a step up, but it’s one that I do believe I’m ready for and I can’t wait to get started.”
