Emerson Hyndman has been named in the United States squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The States qualified through the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, and have been drawn in Group A alongside host nation New Zealand, Myanmar and Ukraine.
Their first match takes place on Saturday 30th May, and the tournament runs until Saturday 20th June.
Of his selection, Head Coach Tab Ramos said: “I’m very excited about this particular group. It was very difficult making the final decision because there were quite a few players who deserved to go to the World Cup.
“Unfortunately, in the end I can only select a certain number and I’m very happy with the selections that we made.”
Hyndman will be joined at the World Cup by Fulham teammate Tiago Casasola, who has been named in Argentina's squad.
They reached the tournament after winning the South American Youth Football Championship in February, and are in Group B alongside Panama, Ghana and Austria.
There is opportunity for the squads to be amended, and the final lists need to be submitted before Friday 15th May.
