Members of Fulham’s Communications department discuss their memories of the season just gone. With the Goal of the Season competition closing on Friday, our favourite strike of 2014/15 is first up.

Sarah Brookes, Communications & Marketing Director: “Hugo Rodallega away at Birmingham to clinch the first win of the season. After going eight league matches on the spin without victory, the relief was palpable.”

Sam Green, Video & Content Manager: “I appreciate a piece of individual brilliance as much as the next guy, but I'm going with Cauley Woodrow’s stunning effort at Rotherham. The shot was a bullet. In off the crossbar makes it look even sweeter. But what does it for me is; Dan Burn wins the ball on the edge of his own box, Woodrow starts the counter inside his own half, three other players are involved, and 15 seconds later Woodrow is slamming it in the back of the net. There are so many ingredients which make it a great goal: determination, teamwork, slick passing, incisive movement and a rocket of a finish.”

Tom Harvey, Programme Editor: “Lasse Vigen Christensen v Huddersfield Town. His nutmeg of Mark Hudson and dink over the goalkeeper was quality. It came immediately after they’d equalised as well.”

Carmelo Mifsud, Media Relations Manager: “Lasse’s goal v Huddersfield at home to make it 2-1. Huddersfield had not long equalised and it felt as though the match was slipping away. It was pouring down with rain the moment Lasse picked the ball up thirty yards out and played a slick one-two with Hugo on the edge of the box. He then showed great composure to nutmeg Hudson, skip clear and dink the ball over the ‘keeper and into the net. In that moment, the game quickly swung back in our favour.”

Geoff Pruce, Web Content Manager: “I’ve got a lot of time for Ross McCormack against Huddersfield and Matt Smith versus Wigan, but Lasse Christensen at home to Huddersfield gets my vote. They’d just equalised so I was worried our heads would drop, but Lasse took the game by the scruff of its neck. Mark Hudson’s a decent defender but he absolutely roasted him, and finished it off with a lovely little clip beyond the keeper. I was in the Hammy End for that one and the entire stand just went ballistic.”
