Moussa Dembélé claimed his second consecutive Man of the Match award for his role in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Bristol City.
Inside 18 minutes the 19-year-old had taken his tally for the season to eight with a cool close range finish from James Husband’s centre and a deceptive near post strike after being picked out by Tom Cairney.
Such was the quality of his performance, he was actually applauded off the pitch by a number of Robins supporters when he made way for Matt Smith on 81 minutes.
It was a close run ballot this week with Dembélé pushed all the way by Husband, who claimed two assists and won the free-kick for our third goal. He ended up with 39.1 per cent of the votes, just behind Dembélé who secured 40.4 per cent.
