Andrew Lonergan was the outstanding choice for Man of the Match from Sunday’s 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
After Fulham stormed into a two-goal lead, we were reliant on our goalkeeper to preserve that advantage, and were indebted to him after he pulled off seven saves during the match. One in the first half to keep out Ben Marshall’s header was nothing short of world class.
His performance did not go unnoticed by the Whites faithful, with Lonergan securing 79.1 per cent of the votes for Man of the Match – comfortably the biggest winning margin of the season so far.
Moussa Dembélé’s goal and assist saw him come in second with 15.2 per cent.
