The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Zakaria Labyad on loan from Sporting Clube de Portugal until the end of the season.
A versatile attacking player, Labyad graduated from the youth ranks at PSV Eindhoven in his native Netherlands and made his debut for the senior side at the age of 17. He went on to make 49 appearances for the club.
He joined Sporting in the summer of 2012 and proceeded to score three times in 22 matches in his maiden campaign in Portugal.
In January 2014, Labyad returned to Holland to join Vitesse on an 18-month loan deal, during which time he helped the club to consecutive top-six finishes. He netted 12 times whilst he was with the Arnhem outfit.
He made a number of appearances for the Netherlands at youth level but later switched his allegiance to Morocco, for whom he has since won a handful of senior caps. He was also in their squad for the 2012 Olympic Games in the UK.
Zakaria’s first interview as a Fulham player will be published on the official website later today.
