The Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Michael Madl on loan from Sturm Graz until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent.
A centre-back who can also operate in midfield, the 27-year-old came through the youth ranks at Austria Vienna and made a number of appearances for the first team before joining Wiener Neustadt in 2010.
Madl has been with Sturm Graz since 2012 and was their captain prior to making the move to Fulham. He was also involved in the Austria national team squads during their successful qualification campaign for the upcoming European Championship.
Speaking from the Club’s Training Ground on Thursday, he said: “I’m very, very happy to be here, and to play for a club like Fulham with so much history and great fans. I will give my best to help the team.
“For me it was an easy decision. To get the chance to play for Fulham in the Championship will maybe only come once in your life, so for me it’s a dream come true.”
