Aleksandar Mitrović has won Serbia’s Golden Ball award, given to the country’s best player in the year just gone.
The striker enjoyed a wonderful 12 months for both club and country in 2018, with 31 goals to his name.
He played a monumental role in Fulham’s promotion to the Premier League, bagging 12 goals for the Whites after joining on loan in January.
The World Cup was his next port of call, featuring in each of Serbia’s group games in Russia and scoring against Switzerland.
Mitrović’s form continued into the new season, leading the scoring charts at Fulham for whom he has netted seven times already in the top flight, and for Serbia who he helped win Group C4 in the Nations League.
He also finished up as the competition’s top scorer with six goals.
Mitro follows in the footsteps of the likes of Dejan Stankovic, Aleksandar Kolarov, Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic in winning the award.
