Slaviša Jokanović acknowledged that Fulham are up against the strongest outfit in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday, but that victory is a very real possibility.
Wolverhampton Wanderers currently enjoy a 13-point gap between themselves and third spot, despite drawing their previous two outings.
“All teams have strengths and weaknesses but the maths doesn’t lie, it’s the best team in the Championship that we’re going to face tomorrow afternoon,” he said.
“Our momentum is important too, we trust in our possibility and we go into it with the ambition and intention to win the game. We’ve assessed Wolves, we’ll try to find ways to do them damage and win the game.
“They are an expensive, quality team. In all parts of the pitch they have important players, especially three more offensive players who can resolve the game alone.
“Big teams don’t make mistakes and don’t miss their opportunities. We must be careful about this part of the game.”
The reverse fixture was one of our more disappointing moments this season, with a 2-0 defeat at Molineux leaving us sitting 17th in the standings.
The Whites’ form dramatically picked up thereafter, though, and Jokanović is keen for his team to extend their undefeated run to a 12th game.
“We need to be braver than what we offered on that day against Wolves,” he admitted. “They scored two easy goals from set-pieces.
“We stopped their offensive transition and created some chances, but we didn’t dominate the situation and weren’t close to winning the points.
“Now they are in a more comfortable situation and I believe they are definitely going to be a Premier League team next season.
“We need more points than they do right now. When we play against this kind of team we must concentrate, focus and be motivated, give 110 per cent and push hard to win the game.
“Behind us is a great run of 11 unbeaten games, including seven victories at home. We have to keep going and continue this positive run.”
