Staking A Claim

The only thing you can do when stepping off the substitutes’ bench is make an impact. Neeskens Kebano has certainly done that in Fulham’s last two games.

Having made an impression with those cameos, the DR Congo international is now looking to get his opportunity from the start when Premier League Southampton arrive in town on Saturday afternoon.

“Every time I’m on the field I try to do my best to help the team with my qualities,” he tells the official matchday programme. “That’s all you can do as a substitute; you try and change something and I like to think I’ve played my part.

“If I start or I’m on the bench, I’ll still have the same spirit. It’s always better to start games but if I can get on the field, I’ll just try to do my thing.”
