Barnsley winger Adam Hammill was full of praise for Fulham ahead of Saturday’s game, but said his side want to put in a strong performance in memory of Patrick Cryne.

“Fulham are one of the in-form sides in the division, they had a slow start to the season, but the quality in the squad has never been in question.

“You’ve seen in recent performances that they’ve grinded them out; I’ve seen them away at Middlesbrough where they got a last minute penalty and three points.

“They’re winning in all different ways and manners, whether it’s 1-0 or 3-0, dominating the ball or backs to the wall and hitting them on the counter, they’ve got quite a few things in their arsenal.

“We’ve got to be at our best, we’ve done a lot of work this week on tactics and stuff that we need to improve on. We want a response after last week.

“It’s got the ingredients to be a great spectacle between two teams that want to win and want to play football, and with the added sad news of Patrick we want to go out there and put in a performance he’d be proud of.

“Fulham are coming here in a great run of form, but I think if we can feed off the atmosphere and go out with the attitude that we’re going to give him a great send off then that stands us in good stead.”
