The Club is delighted to confirm that Kevin McDonald has agreed a new two-year deal with Fulham.
The midfielder has signed a contract which keeps him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2020, with an option to extend by a further 12 months.
McDonald has been one of the first names on Slaviša Jokanović’s teamsheet since he signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers two years ago, racking up 94 appearances already.
A pillar of consistency, Macca is a regular winner of the website’s Man of the Match votes, and also came third in Player of the Season in each of his campaigns at Fulham.
McDonald's leadership on the pitch was vital in 2017/18 as the team won promotion, while he also chipped in with some vital goals.
His late, scrambled effort at Barnsley helped secure a vital win seven games into our 23-match unbeaten run, while his screamer at the Den three months later put some crucial breathing space between the Whites and a stubborn Millwall outfit.
Speaking to fulhamfctv, McDonald said: “Obviously I’m delighted. I feel settled here, it’s a great place to play, it’s got everything needed for a Premier League club, and thankfully that’s what we are.
“Hopefully we can kick on this season, it’s been a great couple of years and - having extended my contract - I couldn’t be happier.”
Tony Khan added: “I’m pleased to announce that Fulham Football Club has signed a contract extension for Kevin McDonald.
“Kevin’s presence within our squad and the positive effect he has on his teammates cannot be underestimated.
“Of course, Kevin made important contributions to our great success last season, so now it’s fitting that he will be contributing to our future successes as well! Come on Fulham!”
