Scott Parker provided an update on the health of his squad in Thursday’s pre-Everton press conference.

“Floyd Ayité has been back training, today was his first day back,” he revealed. “Alfie Mawson’s come through a couple of Under-23s games.

“He’s probably still a little bit short in the sense of being ready for the weekend, but he’s getting closer which is pleasing.”

Parker was also asked about the fitness of Lazar Marković, who’s struggled for minutes since joining Fulham on transfer deadline day.

When pressed on whether or not we’ll see the Serbian again this season, he replied: “I’m not sure to be honest with you. He’s still injured at the moment.

“He’s struggling with a calf injury and it’s been a bit longer than suspected really. He had a little bit of a setback, so we’ll gage that one week by week, but he’s a little way off at the moment.”
