The Club can confirm that Jerome Opoku has signed a contract until June 2021. We hold the option to extend this by a further year.
The commanding centre half has had numerous involvements in the first team set-up this season including appearances against Burnley in Portugal, Cambridge and Oxford United.
The 20-year-old flourished after a run of games in Mark Pembridge’s PL2 team last season, including claiming the captain’s armband at the back end of the season.
Shortly after putting pen to paper, Opoku expressed his delight at extending his stay with Fulham.
“It’s been a great journey working towards this.” He told fulhamfc.com. “I’ve just been working hard and keeping my head down.
“My goal is to fully breakthrough. I need to keep staying in or around the first team and doing my thing so I can achieve that.
“The first contract was completely different to this one as it’s been really good for me and everyone around me to be working towards this massive achievement.”
