Sean Davis wants the boys to leave everything on the pitch when they head to Turf Moor: “We know what we’re going to get from Burnley, so if you don’t give 110 per cent and fight and battle and scrape for every yard, every inch, then you’re not going to get anything. We need all 11 of the lads giving everything they’ve got. We can’t afford any passengers, especially away from home. They’re going to make it difficult, they’re going to press, they’re going to be organised, they’ll have the crowd behind them. They’ve got boys up front who can cause damage, and from set-pieces as well they can be very dangerous. They’ve come through a tough time and are high on confidence, but we’ve got to believe we can go there and get something. With the ability we’ve got, we’re more than capable.”
While acknowledging the importance of each and every Premier League outing, Claudio Ranieri knows that Burnley away holds special significance: “It’s another crucial match. I say every time that every match for us is crucial. This week at Burnley is more crucial, as Huddersfield was crucial. We know there will be a very great battle there and I hope we can survive. Burnley think, ‘if we kill Fulham, Fulham stay there and we move up.’ And for this reason I think it is a very, very crucial match.”
Claudio Ranieri expects a physical encounter away at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon as the Whites travel North to take on Burnley.
Attentions were back on the Premier League this week as the lads' focus at Motspur Park turned to the trip to Burnley.
