Josh Onomah’s winner against Leeds United has been voted Fulham’s Goal of the Month for December.
After Patrick Bamford had cancelled out Aleksandar Mitrović’s opener, the Whites went back on the front foot in search of another, and only had to wait quarter of an hour to restore the lead.
After Mitrović struggled to get a shot away when the ball dropped to him at a corner, it fell invitingly to Onomah 16 yards out, and he couldn’t have struck it sweeter.
The combination of accuracy and power proved deadly, as the hit navigated its way between a raft of bodies and inside the post, with visiting goalkeeper Kiko Casilla a helpless spectator.
Onomah was the stand out winner of the award, claiming 57.1 per cent of the vote. Fabio Carvalho’s lovely curling effort against West Ham United Under-23s came second with 12.7 per cent, ahead of Jay Stansfield’s strike in the same game (9.6 per cent).
